Bio

Jasmine (she/her) serves as a fellow for CivicSpark, an AmeriCorps program centered around building capacity for local public agencies to address community resilience issues. As a Community Engagement Fellow, Jasmine leads RSSC in its Parks Activation & Beautification initiative.

Jasmine’s experiences have focused on environmental policy, environmental justice, and community engagement. In Jasmine’s past fellowship as a California Climate Action Fellowship, she partnered with the City of Santa Cruz and assisted with the community engagement phase of the city’s climate action plan process. With her experiences, she hopes to learn more about the experiences and needs of the communities she works with, all to help build trust and safety.

Jasmine is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In her free time, she loves to play basketball, play the flute, listen to music, and spend time with friends and family.
