Charles (he/him) serves as Special Projects Coordinator, where he is primarily in charge of RSSC’s communication channels. He also continues to assist in the development of various community programs from his tenure as a Summer of Service Fellow for the Office of Mayor Tubbs.
Charles is passionate about affecting health outcomes through community-engaged policy development. Prior to his role at RSSC, he worked as a health educator and served on the board of the UC Student Health Insurance Plan. He’s also interned in the Office of U.S. Congressman Jim Costa and at the Central California Alliance for Health, a non-profit Medicare insurance agency in Merced County. He’s excited to create meaningful change in Stockton and promote its growth into a healthy, bustling community.
Charles earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with minors in Economics and Community Research & Service from the University of California, Merced. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing basketball, and playing his trombone and tuba.
